This whole running journey started in January 2013 when recovering from treatment and subsequent neurosurgery for a pituitary gland tumour under the brain and an associated condition called acromegaly i fought back.
I have learned that life isn’t all about rainbows and sunshine! I got diagnosed with a serious condition, it got me by the balls (sorry) but given the support i received from family, friends and the NHS I have got back on track.
My illness has obviously brought about some difficult times but it has now brought about so many more positives!
I am doing just fine at University as a mature student, my illness is under control big time and tomorrow i will finish the Greater Manchester Marathon 2014.
Thanks for reading.
